SEEKING A PRODUCER / VENUE for World Premiere

In the Bleak Midwinter

Commissioned by Alarm Will Sound, currently in development.

for female voice, chamber orchestra, actor, objects, and video

In the Bleak Midwinter uses music and theatre to create a haunted Christmas ghost-story obliquely inspired by the Dickens’ character Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol. A contemporary reimagining of love, betrayal, and last chances, In the Bleak Midwinter places a lost little boy at the center of his parents' spiritual darkness. Details accumulate like snow as the ghosts and artifacts of their lives become untenable.

Currently seeking producers and venue for the world premiere, the work is based on an original story by the composer.
